I am an experienced journalist, editor and communicator and have worked in publishing roles over the past decade for leading national and global mastheads including The Australian and Forbes.I have worked in many corners of the media industry in Australia and the UK, from advertising to public relations and academia. I have edited numerous magazines, designed communications strategies for leading brands and I enjoy both the commercial and creative components of publishing.I am passionate about advancing the next generation of media and communications professionals. Over the years, I have been called on by leading academic institutions, including RMIT University’s School of Media and Communication, as a sessional academic and guest lecturer in both Melbourne and Singapore. As a skilled presenter and moderator, I have also hosted panels in the UK and Australia with industry leaders on the topics business, media, marketing, architecture, design and luxury. I completed my Master of Science in Journalism at Columbia University in New York, where I specialised in magazine journalism and was recognised for in-class excellence on the subject of the business of media.I also lead the university's alumni relations in Australia as Co-President of the Columbia Association of Australia (CAA).
