I'm an Emmy Award-winning journalist turned communications consultant at a public relations firm in Minneapolis. As the Director of Public Relations and Communications at McClung PR, I help lead both internal communications at our firm and also external communications for clients both big and small. My work is at the cross-section of media, PR, and public affairs. My storytelling strategies lead to earned media, fundraising, advocacy, social media growth, and legislative action. I have excellent media relations skills, acting as a client liaison to editors, producers, and reporters. I also provide interview and media coaching to c-suite level leadership. I have a regular rush hour "Radd Report" guest segment on 830 WCCO, covering everything from current affairs to pop culture. I have experience writing for broadcast, print, and digital. I spent most of my news career at WCCO CBS Television, a top 20 news market station. I've covered thousands of stories across every topic but took particular interest in breaking news, health, and family issues. Personality:I'm an early riser with high energy, creativity, and discipline. I love being a team player and recognizing the individual skills each person brings to the table. Content:I'm able to gather information quickly from a wide range of clients and present it in a compelling way to all forms of media and the public. I find or create opportunities for strong visuals and writing with each project. Social Media:I manage all of our firm's social media pages, several client social media pages, and my own social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter. Outside of my day job, I work as a digital content creator under @Kate.Raddatz on Instagram, securing partnership campaigns with brands like Disney, Amazon, Little Sleepies, Sea World, and more. Management:As a director, I manage projects both internally for our firm and externally for clients daily, working directly with our CEO to provide consulting and media strategy for clients. I also assist in managing our internship program. Giving Back:I have helped with fundraisers and emceed events for cancer research, sexual crisis centers, schools, animals, youth in need, and many others. I regularly speaks to students of all ages. I also continue to pursue my life-long passion for music, singing at sporting events for the Wild, Timberwolves, and Minnesota Baseball Association.
