Reported directly to the President. Started with a small defense contractor (Applied Signal and Image Technology) as an HR consultant focusing on sourcing, recruiting and hiring technical staff. Went in-house as sole HR generalist 3/04 and the position of HR Manager 7/04. Sourced and recruited technical (cleared engineers) and administrative staff taking the Company from 26 employees to 50+ in just 8 months. Handled every aspect of HR from recruiting, benefits, employee relations, compensation, performance management, training, policies, procedures and compliance. Achievements included rapid/successful staffing, delivery of an Affirmative Action Plan, drug testing implementation and complete handbook revision. Staffed the front desk/receptionist coverage. Coordinated field service deployments over-seas and wrote corresponding procedures. Planned and led all monthly company meetings, organized morale events like Orioles games and employee cook-outs. Organized all external job fairs, helped to relocate new hires and wrote corresponding policy. Managed relationships with contract recruiters and search firms. Responsible for an annual budget of $250,000. Created college internship program. Applied Signal and Image Technology was acquired by L-3 in 11/05. Reported weekly and monthly HR statistics to L-3 Division and Corporate. Handled transfer to some L-3 policies, conducted benefit analysis between L-3 and ASIT existing benefits. Acted as Ethics Officer, initiated web-based ethics training for all employees and established the Ethics Help Line at L-3 ASIT. L-3 ASIT had a headcount of 60 employees at the time .
