Providing corporate and commercial in-house legal advice, including:- Reviewing, providing advice on, negotiating and drafting amendments to public tender procurements worth approx. GBP 1-3 million. per annum for a period of 10-25 years, and providing advice on EU procurement regulations.- Advising on the allocation of liability in relation to environmental risks, and the valuation of environmental benefits in relation to the development of environmental assets, such as the development of a 585,000 tonne per year, 72MW Energy from Waste (EfW) facility.- Managing, as in house counsel, the legal aspects of the sale of a subsidiary and parts of the legal aspects of the sale of the Cory Group (as a partial management buy-out) to a private equity group.- Managing, as in house counsel, the purchase of five businesses (some being a share purchase and some an asset purchase).- Advising on and managing the ongoing legal aspects of the various revolving credit arrangements.- Advising on and drafting agreements relating to the generation and sale of electricity and the associated the private trading of renewable obligations certificates (ROCs), including the allocation of risks and benefits arising, from landfill gas.- Advising on and drafting bonds and guarantees, particularly in relation to liability arising from contamination arising from landfill sites.- The project management of mergers and acquisitions, bonding and facility agreements, and advising on environmental and planning issues, and the day-to-day legal matters affecting the business.
