Her passion for experiential design comes out of an aspiration to be a designer in a range of disciplines. While she studied product design at University of Cincinnati, she now likes to cross over to other disciplines any chance she gets. Bringing those disciplines together and seeing how they can interact can make any good project great.Kateri brings an eagerness to learn and grow as a designer. Her experience as an industrial designer helps her balance the technical side of design with creative thinking. She started as an intern at Moody Nolan while she was in school and became a full-time employee in 2017. Throughout her time at Moody Nolan, her projects have ranged from corporate offices to commercial properties to public institutions and higher education. We typically are involved in projects from conceptualization all the way to construction administration, making sure that our design intent is carried out in the actualization. Ideation, rendering, prototyping, and presentations are all included in this work flow. We utilized Solidworks to take our concept sketches and bring them to life, using methods such as 3D printing and casting to create prototypes to refine our ideas. The work was engineering heavy, with much of it being mechanical and electrical.
