Kate Ridge, a natural born Aussie has spent 20 years training and performing in the United States and the last 10 years back in Sydney, Australia. She has earned her MED in Global and Cultural Education, Physical Education Teaching Credential with Dance supplement, and BFA in Dance from California State University, Long Beach. Kate has performed professionally for the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim California, Disney Animation Studios, Disney’s California Adventure, Lego Land California and Knotts Berry Farm in Orange County. She has also toured throughout the United States with Dance America and Dance Olympus Conventions. Kate was a top 10 contestant for the TV realty show pilot of The Business of Dance filmed in Hollywood, California and most recently the face of jazz for Flip Sport Australia. She has been a head instructor and judge for the Universal Dance Association (UDA) and has adjudicated the NDTC in Orlando, FL. She has also judged for UDA in Las Vegas, New Mexico, Hollywood, San Diego, for the International Cheerleading Union in Wuxi and Nanjing, China, DanceLife Unite Nationals in Sydney, Korean Cheerleading Association in Samcheok, South Korea, MDD Japan and the Australian All Star Cheerleading Federation in Melbourne, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Sydney. From 2018 - 2023 Kate has been an international representative at The Dance Worlds and ICU World Cheerleading Championships in Orlando, FL. Kate has spent the last 25 years teaching and choreographing throughout the United States for theme parks, dance studios, event entertainment, college dance programs and high school dance teams and is excited to be doing the same now throughout Australia.
