My adviser, Dr. Tim Chamillard is *still* getting me jobs! He invited me to teach GDD 3000, 'Narrative in Game Design' this semester while he's on sabbatical and of course I said yes! I'm equal parts nervous and stoked. It'll be so much fun to contribute to the learning of the current batch of GDD students-- a degree of which I was the first graduating class!

Toptal is a top notch network of top notch devs with the goal of solving the world's talent shortage in tech/development. I'm pleased to be a part of expanding that network by reaching out to interested high-end developers and guiding them through Toptal's thorough screening process. Toptal is short for 'top talent', and really, they mean it.

Learned the basics of Ruby on Rails in tandem with Factory Girl and RSpec to increase automated test coverage on JSON outputs. They have a great team at CloudNative.io. Special thanks to Hosh and Peter!

Co-authored & completed an ~165 page movie script by the name of 'Pacific Gyrus'; a hypothetical future wherein the world is flooded, nuclear power is internationally illegal, and reclaiming the ocean's trash for materials is the new currency of national power.

After a few months of settling in, I'm now fondly designated as a 'short order programmer' and Client Services Liaison, which really boils down to my fielding the more technical questions from our capable Client Services team and tackling the smaller, abrupt programming tasks that crop up during the sprint, from bugfixes to improvements, internal and external. It's challenging, but worth it.

My tasks were varied! 2D & 3D art, PHP, Jquery, MySQLi, web design, flash development, and a handful of learning opportunities!

Build out art assets for Peak Game Studio's XBL arcade game - Battle Paddles!

Sole artist on side game project and joint game designer.

Working under contract for Peak Games to develop the Colorado History Arcade games for the Pikes Peak Library District. Tasks included 2D art, design, and historical reference research.Finished product viewable at: http://ppld.org/Kids/Colorado/arcade/coloradohistoryarcade/

Under contract for three educational 3D games to be placed on University of Colorado at Colorado Springs Imagination Station public computers. Tasks included: brainstorming game mechanics, assets, and art style. Designer of menu systems' visual features. Debugging. Asset acquisition of fonts and scientific photos. Creation of 20+ skinned models, man made and natural.

Under contract to design and implement the Front End GUI for University of Colorado at Colorado Springs Imagination Station public computers. Tasks including brainstorming menu controls and style of the UI, member of design team for the menu layout, and creation of a 2.5D menu system.

Working as a Junior Teaching Assistant for Dr. Tim Chamillard in creating, implementing and teaching an engaging low-level game design course for entering freshmen without intentions of joining the Game Design track at UCCS.
