In this capacity, I launched MEI's arts and culture program which developed into a center featuring an art gallery of rotating exhibitions of contemporary Middle Eastern art and photography. The Center has hosted hundreds of panel talks on the role of art in society, hosted literature festivals, put on performances of musicians at major venues, partnered.

I was responsible for managing MEI’s programming and communications departments, as well as its stable of 40 adjunct scholars. In that capacity, I programmed hundreds of talks, panels and half and full-day conferences focusing on the Middle East; I built and developed MEI’s roster of adjunct scholars, increasing their output of publications and policy.

I produced and reported segments on Middle East issues from the rise of the Shiites in Iraq to the success of Islamist parties in Egypt's recent elections.

I reported and produced half-hour documentaries on Middle East topics for Frontline/World.

I produced long format TV segments on national issues for broadcast on public television.
