How can we make work something we love, rather than something we dread? Work can be great if we find ways we can help others. By having pride in what we do. In having a sense of shared purpose. By being challenged, rewarded, recognised. By learning, connecting, collaborating. Work isn't great when we spend our days on email, in meetings on Teams, never able to actually do any, well, work. I've been working in comms for many years and internal communications has never been more relevant. More needed. The work IC does can have a profound impact on the employee experience, engagement and ultimately, productivity. Make work a great place to be and your team will smash out that extra mile for you. I'm proud of lots of the work I've done but I particularly love the work I have done trying to reach frontline workers in gritty environments. Those on a production line, factory workers, delivery drivers.
