I'm one of those hard-to-find creative geeks who is equally comfortable with words and numbers, images and code, big ideas and small details. I've worked in senior editing and production roles across a variety of industries with media companies, businesses, non-profits, and artists to develop content, branding, and marketing collateral both in print and on the web. Some highlights of my career:• Proposed, managed & produced the monthly event calendar program for the Southeast region (about 70 stores) of a national book retailer.• Developed "differential diagnosis" algorithms to suggest possible medical conditions based on reported symptoms as well as to provide contextually relevant information.• Edited & designed an award-winning non-fiction history book.• Retained to design & produce both a local magazine and an international newspaper from start-up.• While serving as treasurer on board of directors for a non-profit community orchestra, reversed trend of operating with FY-end deficit.• Revised procedures & restructured filing system for a department in a retail store, returning it to profitability in 1 month.• Chaired publicity & promotion committee for a 2-day event which raised $10,000 for community projects.I'm respected by colleagues.
