What I do:I turn strategy into reality. I create the vision and strategic partnerships for innovative, high-performing programs and teams that drive results and increase revenue. I bring people together around a common vision to achieve the organization’s goals. Why I do it:It’s important to me to be part of something bigger than myself. It’s in my DNA to help teams become stronger than the sum of their parts. I’ve done this throughout my career – whether helping a newspaper establish itself as a stronger voice in the community, working with dedicated elected officials execute on their strategic vision, or helping lead local nonprofits to the next stage of their development.Who I do it for:Whether top decision-makers in a corporation, fellow board members in a local nonprofit, or their customers and stakeholders, my role is to be of service and support. I ensure that the teams I lead understand our goals and have the necessary resources to achieve them. I look to leave whatever organization, product, or team I’m part of better off than when I started. How I do it:I quickly spot the relevant patterns and issues and determine alternative ways to move forward. I use a variety of resources to improve performance, seeking continuous improvement. I set clear expectations and determine how each individual can best be to improve the performance of the team.
