I started serving during the summer after I graduated high school. I still work at Maria's when I am home from college. During the summer I was a server in the morning and a hostess at night but now I am only a server. I wait on tables ranging from 1 to 15 people while helping entertain their children. I helped create specialty cocktails and holiday meals along with organizing the restaurant to fit more tables. I sold customers on what drinks and food they should try and helped tourists find exciting things to do around Lancaster.

I started working at Maria's when I was 15 and I stayed there until I left for college. I created schedules for the other hosts, bussers, and food runners along with cleaning tables, seating guests, and runing food. I assisted 200+ guests during my shifts and I helped keep the peace between the servers. I dealt with a lot of people with different personality types and learned to to effectively work with everyone. I developed long lasting relationships with customers and staff members.

I take care on two dogs for a week during the summer. One of the dogs is 12 years old with many health problems and the other is 2 years old with a lot of energy. I do this while I am working my other job at the restaurant.
