Lead the corporate insights team in delivering insights to corporate practitioners working in CSR and ESG.

United Way Worldwide is the largest global non-profit network focused on improving the income, education, and health of every one in every community. As the CSR subject matter expert, I share my practical and strategic expertise with corporate partners and local United Ways. Additionally, I have also led the creation and delivery of CSR consultation products and customer resources, and share weekly insights with colleagues where I highlight new and emerging trends in CSR and ESG.

Western Union moves money internationally and is widely used by individuals with family in other countries. The Western Union Foundation focuses support on migrants and refugees, helping to provide access to the global economy. As the Foundation Engagement Manager, I led and managed employee volunteering and giving for Western Union including the annual golf tournament and employee giving campaigns. The annual golf tournament engaged key WU stakeholders and raised over $750,000 and the annual employee giving campaign hit ~74% employee participation globally. Additionally, while I was there I coordinated the first ever regional day of service, engaging over 300 Denver area employees in 14 volunteer projects for Project Hometown.

Prologis is a global logistics solutions and services company with facilities in major markets across the globe. During my time at the organization, I managed the Prologis Foundation, employee giving and volunteerism, and all aspects of non-financial reporting globally. Additionally, I was able to streamline the request and reporting process for the Prologis Foundation, create an improved processes and communications for in-kind donation program, Space for Good, provide end-to-end project management for the 2014 and 2015 Sustainability Reports using GRI G4 guidelines, and complete annual responses for Dow Jones Sustainability Assessment and CDP disclosure, placing Prologis on the North America and Asia Pacific Indices for DJSI and increasing CDP score from a C to a B.

Provided oversight to the corporate responsibility department during a staff transition; ensuring key programs, initiatives, and stakeholder engagements progressed toward company and department goals.• Enabled first responders to gain access and better assist victims of accidents by creating strategic year-end corporate responsibility initiative in local communities to update hydraulic rescue tools (i.e. Jaws of Life) that ensure functionality with new advanced high-strength steel used in car frames and produced by company.• Facilitated national nonprofit relationships with American Red Cross, United Service Organizations, and Captain Planet Foundation, aligning MOUs and activities that advanced overarching business goals.

Served as corporate responsibility manager for the USA and key resource to colleagues. Managed use of charitable funds, corporate responsibility reporting, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability project implementation at regional level, strategic grant making, budgets, employee engagement through volunteerism and matching gifts, and national strategic partnerships.• Managed and reported on distribution of $4.5M in charitable donations, supporting nonprofit organizations in communities around steel mills and mines. • Project managed 2011 and 2012 Corporate Responsibility reports using GRI 3.1 guidelines, producing 2 high-quality reports promptly.• Served as corporate responsibility liaison for 10 facilities located across the USA, adapting corporate sustainability policy to local level and managing local grant relationships, stakeholder engagement, and community involvement that strengthened commitment of company in local communities.• Managed employee engagement programs such as the employee matching gifts program, Give Boldly, and employee volunteerism.o Grew requests for matching gifts year over year, focusing on communication and outreach to shop floor employees on the program and process.o Created Volunteer Toolkit and resources for employee volunteers, leading to more employee-led volunteer projects.

Drove creation of measurement tools for corporate grant making and created processes and procedures for international grant making and strategic philanthropy (client centered).• Created processes and procedures for international grant making with the compliance department.• Managed the National and International Strategic Philanthropy programs with annual budgets of $400K and $200K respectively.• Reviewed grant proposals, conducted site visits, and suggested funding amounts for the Northern Trust Charitable Trust and the Northern Trust Centennial Fund; awarded over $1M in grants, supporting organizations working in 7 low-income Chicago neighborhoods.• Provided department support for annual CSR report and the Dow Jones Sustainability Index.• Served as Loaned Executive to the United Way of Metropolitan Chicago for 3 campaign seasons.

Assisted Community Involvement department with research on global hunger issues and statistics. Prepared grant summaries for upper management and helped in the development of Employee Involvement Program and website.
