Built a Postgres GIS backend to enable personalization of user feed based on location. - Built system to load, store and display elected officials for users as well as personalize contacting representative "actions" based on the user's own representatives. - Refactored feature to sync user contacts to enable syncing 1000 contacts < 1 m. - Improved Suggested Followers recommendation engine by adding proximity and network features - Deployed a dashboard and tooling to visualize network effects on Unified's growing user base using Next.js and d3. - Contributed to logging module and supported universal logging across frontend and backend services to enable tracking key user events and service alerts.- Centralized shared data models - Built early-stage analytics reporting infrastructure using Temporal workflows, Postgres, and Slack to track user growth (active users, k-factor, etc.) - Improved unit testing by enabling concurrent test runs with database isolation. - Enhanced discovery by developing a topic modeling solution using vector store and search similarity to return posts similar to topics- Maintained and supported MongoDB, Postgres cluster, ElasticSearch, Redis data stores.

Oversaw a small Web team to produce and update content for magazine’s award-winning Web site. Responsible for reporting, writing, editing and producing original content. In addition to coverage of live events, the site hosted features on such topics as breast cancer, gun control, drug addiction and other issues. Helped manage the entertainment and lifestyle channels at Pathfinder, Time Inc.'s early online web portal. Highlight: got to be the web's first chat Santa Claus.

Assisted in the Technology Coordinator in coordinating between the technology staff and the editorial department. Helped develop "Personal Edition," an online subscription service to Time Inc. content, QA'd early online transaction system with vendor Open Market, developed the Zagat's site on Pathfinder. Monitored traffic usage weekly across Pathfinder's brands and developed weekly traffic reports. Highlight: got to help develop the first (at least we thought so at the time) online weather feed with the Weather Channel.
