Along with my business partner Jez Ashberry I set up Shooting Star in September 2006. Since then we've worked with over 200 public and private sector organisations across the UK including international print and packaging firm Coveris, CribMaster (part of Stanley Black & Decker) , glass manufacturer Beatson Clark, DoubleTree by Hilton, the NHS and the Greater Lincolnshire LEP.

Working as part of a two-man press team I helped to manage the PR for the University of Lincoln and was responsible for writing the copy for key publications including the annual report and Research Review. My role also involved crisis management, researching and writing news releases and looking after journalists at events such as graduation and royal visits.

I started working at the Lincs FM group as a part-time traffic and travel reporter whilst studying journalism at the University of Lincoln. When I finished my degree I was offered at full-time position as a broadcast journalist at Trax FM in Doncaster. In 2003 I returned to Lincs FM where I worked for two years on the news desk before being offered the role of press officer at the University of Lincoln.
