This project specifically focuses on how security specialists within the organisation align security processes with business goals and multiple roles, and how central security communications are framed and purposed for distribution across sub-units within the organisation.

Collaborative research with the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply funded by the UK Research Council seeking to measure and improve the resilience of UK manufacturing supply chains. Extensive involvement in survey preparation and data collection. Responsible for updating and maintaining the supply chain disruption database which was used in the second phase of the research project and developed as a risk monitoring tool.

Thesis synopsis - Employed a behavioural operations perspective to investigate employee environmental behaviour in UK professional service firms using a case study methodology, interview data collection methods along with NVIVO software to aid analysis. The aim was to improve our understanding of the employee role in environmental operations, their environmental behaviour, the motivations behind this behaviour, the factors that contribute to environmental decision making, and appropriate methods for bringing about environmental behavioural change to improve the organisation’s environmental programme, practices and performance.

Supervision of MSc Management dissertation projects, providing students with support and guidance on the academic field and on how to manage a research project.Assisted in delivering the Operations Management core module active simulation sessions including the production and supply chain game to groups of 60-80 Masters and Undergraduate students. Adopting customer/supplier roles these sessions highlight key themes of the course and are sometimes used as the basis of student assessed assignments.Team teaching on the Sustainable Operations course. Assisted with the implementation of a new interactive session designed to illustrate various course themes including sustainability dimensions, measurement issues and strategic approaches.
