I am an artist, maker, writer, creator, consultant, catalyst, connector, engager. My world revolves around STORY – discovering hidden gems and untold truths that surprise and delight, shake up and incite… good things… like curiosity, creativity and hope. My first love is music – writing songs, performing live, producing records and music videos. I've long been obsessed with podcasts, and I am so grateful to be the executive producer and host of Hope Is My Middle Name, produced by the fantastic team at Reasonable Volume and Conor Gaughan, founder and CEO of Consensus Digital Media. Another daily joy is leading Creative at Consensus where we highlight inspiring stories of resilience and innovation. My favorite part of working with Consensus is the people we meet – these Americans are doing big daring things to build a sustainable future, and they’re everywhere, quietly working in their communities often without fanfare. We could learn a lot from them, and thanks to documentary shows like Made In America with millions of views, we are. My longtime heart project is the documentary film Tell It Like It Is, on the life and work of Walter K. Delbridge, currently in post-production. The film is preceded by the new book, Comeback Evolution: Selected Works by Walter K. Delbridge (University of Akron Press), which I was honored to edit.In all of this, I’m most grateful for the relationships. Creativity inspires and requires collaboration, and good collaboration can lead to lifelong friendship. Whatever the project – writing, performing, hosting, producing – for me it’s the creative process over product, and people over process. What really matters is connection.
