Carter Jonas is a multi-disciplinary property partnership. As a line manager with direct reports, I led the promotion of the firm’s Commercial and Planning & Development divisions, along with holding responsibility for all events firm-wide. My role was national; primarily based in London, but working out of seven major regional offices to promote 14 different service lines.I was promoted to Marketing Manager in December 2016 in recognition of my strong project management skills, clear marketing strategies and ambition to progress within the business. I was then promoted again in June 2019 as a result of my increased levels or responsibility and accountability.

Yep London is a networking group for young and ambitious entrepreneurs in the property landscape. I joined the board of the London branch in September 2018 to assist with membership expansion initiatives, event planning and strategic partnerships. Our aim was to provide opportunities to those in the sector who were looking to further their careers, and work on diversity and inclusion within the market. Any funds raised from the initiatives and the events held were donated to Landaid, a charity working to end youth homelessness in the UK.

UBM was recognised for many years as the world’s second largest business in the events industry. The firm was acquired by Informa in 2018. For over two years I worked across the Built Environment Live portfolio, primarily marketing events targeted at interior designers and architects. This ranged from large-scale design exhibitions such as Decorex International, Ecobuild (now FutureBuild), Interiors UK, KBB and The May Design Series to smaller awards initiatives such as Architect of the Year Awards.My primary responsibilities were formulating the campaign objectives and plans for each exhibition or awards, incorporating social media, exhibitor promotion, partner and email schedule. I also briefed design agencies to create a range of promotional material, including advertisements, direct mail, catalogues, banners and websites, in line with event branding and corporate guidelines. Alongside this I draw up weekly reports detailing campaign effectiveness, tracking the source of registrations and recommending new activity as each campaign progressed.

C Squared is a creative and vibrant media and events company based in Southwark. Their mission is to help the media and marketing industry become more connected and better informed. They have a wide portfolio of award winning brands including The Festival Of Media which takes place in Europe, Latin America and Asia, M&M Global and Cream. For eight months I worked within the C Squared marketing and events team as an intern, primarily marketing and organising the launch of a new awards scheme. At the time of launch, The BRAVES Awards was the only awards ceremony to recognise and reward the use of video by brands and was open to brands, agencies, content creators and technical companies of all sizes.
