I am a psychologist by background and after 15 years of working to support clients within substance misuse and domestic abuse sectors I have trained to become a fully qualified Mindfulness Teacher and completed my Masters in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy at the University of Oxford (MSt in MBCT). In my approach I offer evidence-based psychological interventions to deliver a variety of mindfulness courses including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and Mindfulness for Life (MBCT-L), Finding Peace in a Frantic World (FPFW) as well as the entry level Introducing Mindfulness and a follow-on course Deeper Mindfulness: Exploring Feeling Tone Frame by Frame.I work in a trauma-sensitive way which offers a supportive approach to engage with mindfulness practices and teach to acknowledge experienced difficulties without becoming overwhelmed.I love learning about how Eastern and Western schools of thought compliment each other as well as provide practical tools to increase wellbeing and have a keen interest in addressing trauma and introducing change by making sustainable connections between the mind and body.
