KatBlu Art & Design Studio is a highly creative resource for custom invitations, marketing literature, and other design-oriented collateral as well as licensing artwork to major international brands. Primarily known for exquisite laser cut artwork, KatBlu developed a unique niche by intermixing all types of specialty printing with artistic effects. As Owner and Principal Designer, I was solely responsible for all aspects of the business.Through innovative marketing efforts, superior artistic standards and strategic business arrangements, KatBlu attracted international clientele to become one of the most elite, sought-after premium stationery firms. As an independent consultant in marketing communications, I helped small businesses develop their brand identities and marketing literature. Trusted for my reliability and professional image, I was subcontracted to represent my clients to their clients.Astute at identifying trends and marketing niches, I identified a growing trend in personal branding in the booming real estate industry during the early and mid-2000’s and capitalized on it by developing a marketing program specifically targeted to real estate agents and other independent entreprenuers call Customyzed Image Marketing.

I was brought in to develop the entire marketing communications department for a newly located manufacturer of paper products. This challenge included the purchase of all computer and printing equipment, tradeshow displays, hiring and managing personnel, collaboration with other internal personnel, as well as the creation of new branding, packaging, catalog, photography of 2,000 products. I was an integral leader that brought their product to the “big box” office supply stores. It required a major “paradigm shift” for the entire organization from operating as a manufacturer into thinking like a marketing organization. As a bold visionary, I led the way by creating just the right product line and persuasive presentation to engage the mass-market buyers, all the while working with the internal teams to envision the potential benefits of improving our standards which would help ensure the growth and viability of the company. During this dynamic timeframe, I envisioned, designed and managed the construction of a new “marketing centre” for product development, testing, and focus groups and internal team collaboration and product display design.
