Adult learning- teaching crochet skills to small groups of adults at award-winning small business Make, Do and Mend, as well as at events such as Twisted Thread Knitting and Stitching Shows, The Clothes Show Live and at The British Library with Emma Friedlander-Collins. I've also assisted Sew Yeah! (aka Christine Leech) with pompom workshops at Drink, Shop, Do.

I have written original features for a number of magazines and newspapers since my freelance career began in early 2007. As well as editing local wedding magazine Absolute Bridal and music zine Panic (now an online zine), I've contributed to local lifestyle magazines balanceLife and the Essex Chronicle. I've spent time interning at Fabulous (News UK mag), More and at fashion acessories brand Knomo.

Commissioning editor at leading Crochet title, Inside Crochet magazine. Working within small team to decide theme and editorial content for monthly title, commissioning original crochet projects from designers, securing yarn support and providing editorial content. As well as liaising with designers and management team, I also design projects, write features and attend events.

I've worked on this independent, twice-yearly creative lifestyle magazine since its first print issue in May 2016, providing my critical eye and editing skills to all feature copy. As well as writing heads and sells, I also provide suggestions for pull-quotes and re-write copy where necessary, ensuring that all copy is consistent and correct. The usual sub-editor skills are required and used, here; I am often found checking facts from web pages to product information and prices, as well as editing copy into word counts and adjusting submissions for tone and read-ability. I have also recently drafted and implemented a 91 Style guide to assist commissioning editors with their roles, as well as interviewing and feature features for the 91 Blog (recently shortlisted for an Amara Interior Blog award) and the print magazine itself.

Planning content for part works crochet title, Simple Stylish Crochet. Providing project guidance inspiration and moodboards for the designers and editors, as well as writing and photographing step-by-step crochet tutorials and patterns, filming crochet tutorial videos for the magazine website. Work alongside editor in planning the content- balancing skill level of projects, colours, techniques and variety of projects. Also providing all information (including visual and technical advice) for editor ahead of commissioning.

Receive commissions from editor for features for volumes, albums and yearbooks for corporate clients. Providing interviews and profiles on clients for lifestyle, education, travel and luxury titles.

To plan, write and edit all content at the bi-monthly wedding magazine for Essex, Herts and Suffolk. I took full responsibility for all editorial from the launch issue and for the following four issues, from flat-planning the content to arranging contributions from local suppliers and experts, sourcing imaging and interviewing and writing the real weddings features. Compiling shopping pages, attending shoots and press days and representing the magazine brand at Main Event Co wedding shows. I forged relationships with local venues and suppliers and sourced competitions. I also introduced social media pages for the magazine, updating Twitter and Facebook with news and stories from the bi-monthly magazines.

Write, plan and style fashion features for women's bi-weekly magazine Real. Attend fashion shows, press shows and photoshoots, and liaise with celebrity stylist Mark Heyes
