As the Director of Marketing and Events, I was responsible for developing and managing the East Coast division of consumer lifestyle clients. This included research, scoping, and negotiation of contracts, as well as account management and PR tasking. I was the subject matter expert for creative event strategies and execution. I helped grow BCENE's business by over 300% in a single fiscal year.On client accounts, I specialized in strategic PR, marketing, partnerships and business consulting, focusing on beauty, hospitality, and wellness industries with primarily D2C clients.

Day-to-day, I ran all of JRINK's front-end operations, which spanned six retail storefronts, 20+ employees and brand ambassadors, and the inventory management of thousands of juices and products weekly. I was responsible for growing our business to hit key financial targets, including short term profitability and long term distribution goals. I worked cross-functionally with the production team at HQ to ensure operations are seamless across the board.JRINK's marketing strategy was simple: internal/external synergy is the key to next level lifestyle brand storytelling. I determined long term strategic marketing plans and oversee a team of three marketing experts (in events, ads, and social media) to ensure seamless integration of online/offline strategies. This included product development, digital marketing, grassroots marketing, and a dash of UX.

As the Director of Expansion, I was responsible for pre-seeding and branding new markets for UrbanStems. This included distribution set up, identification of key influencers and partners, local-specific product development, and hiring. I also cross-functionally managed the HQ team during the expansion period to get new markets launched.

As the Director, I was responsible for for all the marketing and branding efforts for the opening of the Washington, D.C. location. This included designing and executing high-touch events meant to target the growing creative class in D.C. and sourcing, planning, and managing two pre-open market pop ups and the corresponding activation activities. I also delivered key information back to our headquarters in Vancouver, most notably an in-depth pre-open market and brand analysis that included social media engagement.On the operational side, I was responsible for the on the ground operations of four store openings (ranging from small weekend-long pop ups to large high-touch brand shops). I also recruited, hired, on-boarded, and trained foundational retail operations employees. I was responsible for major financial targets, and delivered a shop opening on time and in budget. I also served as the New Business Opening Lead for the Over the Rhine location in Cinncinati, Ohio.

As a Senior Consultant, I mostly served as an Instructional Designer for the Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Information and Technology (OIT) Information Technology Workforce Development (ITWD) Task at the Office of Information Security (OIS). I provided training course and content development for the VA IT Campus, which was a virtual adult learning environment. Prior to that project, As Public Affairs for the Department of Defense, I provided communication support to NAVAIR programs regarding internal communications and public affairs topics including news releases, internal and external publications for NAVAIR E-2/C-2 Program (PMA-231).I supported logistical organization of events such as awards ceremonies, events, meetings, conferences, etc., and provided photography assistance to said events. I also developed strategic communication plans, publications, digital and social media campaigns, graphic materials, briefs, best practices and other communications collateral for executive leadership.Bigger picture, I gained valuable experience in federal consulting and institutional management.

As a News Assistant, I provided live production support to high-level executive producers during crisis-level breaking news situations. I wrote and contributed to both the CNN Political Ticker and Afghanistan Crossroads. On the weekends I was the primary dignitary and guest greeter. I also assisted in research and fact gathering, provided 24-hour bureau coverage, compiled live shot summaries, and generally assisted reporters and correspondents.
