During this apprenticeship, I learned the basics of operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting water, sewage, electrical, and Wi-Fi systems in the context of private islands. Additionally, I learned about the seasonal opening and closing procedures.

As a retail associate in the Ojibway Club gift shop, I learned valuable customer service and teamwork skills and gained experience with processing purchase orders, tagging items, using Lightspeed business software and a Moneris credit card processing machine, restocking and organizing/cleaning merchandise, and designing eye-catching displays and sale signs.

As a Walgreens Pharmacy Cashier, I worked at the register, sorted prescriptions, put in prescription fill orders, dealt with insurance and drug refill issues, customer relations, minimal pharmacy technician responsibilities supervised by pharmacy technicians, restocking, and inventory. I left Walgreens to focus on helping my family move to Florida.

I worked for Vector Marketing as a sales representative selling Cutco Cutlery. I was hired as a Trainee and finished as an Advisor, earning three promotions, and achieving a 25% commission rate. I called and set up appointments with potential customers, gave virtual demos of the products, filled out online order forms, and communicated with customers about any issues they encountered during and after this process.

As a CIT I learned how to work with children, parents, and counselors at the camp. I primarily worked with a younger group of campers and helped the counselors with various tasks (stories, games, mealtime, bringing campers to the bathroom, etc.) I also worked in the Arts and Crafts Hut where I cleaned, helped campers, and designed and led a few crafts.
