- Main executor of the Fish Enhancement, Mitigation, and Restoration Fund project on rare, threatened, and endangered fish species population abundances and habitat locations in the St. Lawrence River watershed through index sampling using seine, electroshocking, and gillnet- Facilitated data collection of Brook Trout and freshwater mussel surveys, sediment distribution, riverbed dimensions, habitat characteristics, and water quality in headwaters and dam vicinity in investigation of dam removal, aquatic resources, and connectivity in the St. Regis River Watershed- Calibrated and operated a YSI sonde unit outfitted with chlorophyll a, conductivity, oxidative reductive potential, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, and temperature probes- Identified fish species in the field and questionable specimens under a laboratory microscope using published dichotomous keys- Prepared and oversaw field work trips by scheduling, organizing and loading equipment, utilizing maps and GPS, and transporting and working directly with colleagues- Coordinated with state and federal project affiliates through data sharing and direction, instructing a fish species identification workshop, and written summaries and updates for grant requirements- Utilized Microsoft Excel, ArcGIS, Canoco, and other statistical programs for data manipulations and interpretation which included Shannon Wiener Diversity Index, cluster analysis, and canonical correlation analysis
