As European Project Manager I support the innovative work of EValTech R&D toward energy efficiency actions and environmental sustainability through managing and building our portfolio of European-funded research projects.

Bringing my upwards of 15 years' experience, I offer a comprehensive range of project delivery support from proposal writing to delivery.

Working at the primary GFF venue, the Glasgow Film Theatre, I managed the rota of festival volunteers, designating tasks, training on specific screening requirements and liaising with GFF Coordinators to coordinate volunteers across other venues as required. I also worked closely with permanent GFT staff in the management of the venue during the festival programme.

I coordinated the IS-Glasgow 2019: 7th International Symposium on Deformation Characteristics of Geomaterials conference, held at the University of Strathclyde's Technology & Innovation Centre, Glasgow, UK on 26th – 28th June 2019, welcoming over 250 delegates. I liaised with the conference venue regarding all aspects of conference delivery; coordinated the gala dinner and ceilidh at the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum; organised transport between venues; sourced and organised conference welcome packs and gifts; produced the programme; oversaw ticketing and participation lists; maintained the budget; managed the submission process of abstracts and the review, proofreading and editing of articles for the Proceedings, liaising with the publishers.

I provided support to the Coordinator of the project TERRE (Training Engineers and Researchers to Rethink geotechnical Engineering for a low carbon future), a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Networks (ITN-ETN) project funded from the H2020 Programme of the European Commission.TERRE aimed to develop novel geo-technologies to address the competitiveness challenge of the European construction industry in a low carbon agenda. It was delivered through an inter-sectoral coordinated PhD programme focused on the carbon-efficient design of geotechnical infrastructure.I provided assistance to the Project Coordinator and fourteen European project partners, comprising eleven Universities/Research Centres and three SMEs, in the recruitment and training of 15 Early Stage Researchers. In addition, I oversaw the coordination of a Europe-wide Schools Outreach project relating to the low-carbon agenda in climate impact mitigation.

Asssisting on the GREAT: Marie Curie International Research Staff Exchange Scheme Project, I managed the project website and the coordination of the project's secondments.

Providing support to the Project Coordinator of the project MAGIC (Monitoring Systems to Assess Geotechnical Infrastructure Subjected to Climatic Hazards), an Industry-Academia Partnerships and Pathways (IAPP) project funded from the 7th Framework Programme of the European Commission. I coordinated multiple industry-academia exchange secondments between seven European academic and SME partners based in Italy, France, Scotland, Germany, The Netherlands, Austria and The Czech Republic. This required a strong understanding of EC financial and contractual regulations to successfully advise partners on relevant deliverable obligations, to assist in the production of periodic reports and undertake budget allocation calculations for each secondment.

Working as a Research Assistant on the STEP UP (Strategies Towards Energy Performance & Urban Planning) Project, within the Institute for Future Cities, I was chiefly responsible for the development, marketing and promotion of a new postgraduate taught MSc programme in Global Sustainable Cities. The MSc was a key deliverable of the STEP UP, an FP7 EU Research Project, working with three European partner cities, Riga, Gothenburg and Gent, aimed at developing new models in sustainable urban energy planning.

Providing English-language proofreading and editing services to non-native English speakers within the French academic community, with a specific focus on academic articles for publication.

Coordinating student recruitment and outreach activity, including the organisation of Open Days, Induction sessions, Applicant Days and bespoke on-campus outreach events designed to recruit secondary school pupils. I also coordinated an outreach campaign, delivering presentations and activities on the subject of Engineering within secondary schools throughout central Scotland and wrote and produced a range of recruitment brochures and materials.
