Katie is passionate about career development and mentoring, specifically for up and coming PR professionals. She co-founded and leads Edelman Smithfield’s Associates Program, a full-time, year-long program designed to develop the next generation of financial communications professionals. Before joining Edelman Smithfield, Katie managed communications and media relations programs for financial services and technology clients at Cognito. Katie graduated from The George Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in Women’s Studies and a minor in Journalism & Mass Communication.
