I built positive spiritual mentor relationships with church children, youth, and families in the church and community. This included: investing in the spiritual development of students of all ages, leading weekly Sunday programming, planning and leading the after school program, leading the annual mission trip, interacting with the community, and outreach in the area.

Chicago Day Camps

During my time at SpringHill, I was one of the three Assistant Directors for SpringHill Day Camps in the Chicago region. My specific role as an Assistant Director was the Staff Manager. I conducted interviews, made hiring decisions, and trained our mid-summer hires. During our month long training session, I was selected to be a part of SpringHill's "Dream Team", where my primary focus was interviewing and hiring staff members for the summer. Additionally, I oversaw the special needs program and provided support for our special needs counselors. All of these tasks were completed while I sought to empower and equip each of the area directors and counselors to lead and do their job well.

My primary focus is helping with the planning and implementation of the high school ministry at NorthRidge. In doing so, I attend series planning meetings, where talk topics are discussed and developed. I prepare and gather materials needed for the weekly programming, and help lead the program by leading games and announcements. I coordinate the volunteers by assigning them roles each week and keep them up to date with events by sending them weekly emails. Over the summer, I had the opportunity to lead at various trips including a trip to CIY Move. Additionally, I coordinated work sites and co-lead a work crew for the ministry's annual local mission trip.

Saline, Mi

The Fifth Corner is a teen center for middle school and high school students in the Saline area. It is focused on empowering students by giving students ownership within the teen center. This is a student driven teen center. In addition to mentoring and supervising the students, I co-lead meetings with for the Student Operations Board, where we plan events with the students. I also had the opportunity to lead out the application process for the student leaders and help interview students for these positions.
