I am one of those people who loves the insurance industry. From my first insurance role at Apia over 20 years ago, when getting back to work after having two kids, to now holding a national partnership and leadership role with ARC Projects (an insurance builder and restorer) I have gained an excellent understanding of the general insurance industry, insurance brokerages and insurance claims. Along my career journey, I've had stints as a travel claims manager, a strata claims manager, and managed diverse claim portfolio's on the broker side. l have experienced nearly every insurance role (except loss adjuster) as l was an underwriter for two years, looked after placements and held senior leadership roles at insurance brokerages.As my career has progressed I have grown as a leader and a mentor. I loved participating in the NIBA QLD Mentoring program 2022, and part of my current role is coaching and supporting current and emerging leaders.Lastly, l can finally add MBA after my name, which supports my industry knowledge, experience and leadership expertise. While completing the degree was a fantastic experience, it was challenging at times, but I am proud to have achieved it, and believe it has made me a better leader and strategic thinker.
