DRH Lindersvold is an international education center in Denmark offering volunteer programs designed to address issues such as world poverty, global inequality, and climate change. Tasks of this position include:- Develop and facilitate a targeted outreach plan through online and in-person efforts throughout Europe- Coordinate outreach travel and do in-person speaking engagements on global studies topics in connection to the values and mission of the school- Conduct enrollment calls with potential volunteers, sharing information about the life on campus, the global studies education, and possible development projects.- Write copy and develop graphics to be used for our various promotional materials including the blog, newsletter, social media, and podcast- Plan and conduct interviews with students, staff members, and other professionals

The International Denmark is a newspaper working to create community and understanding between Danes and internationals, while offering stories of hope for newly arrived internationals throughout the country.As a team leader and Social Media Ambassador, my tasks include: - Leading a small team of Social Media ambassadors in Roskilde - Providing twi-weekly posts on events and happenings within and around Roskilde- Converting written articles into social media posts on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter- Planning and executing events (For example, scavenger hunts and online webinars)- Finding and posting online and in-person events

As an outreach intern, I worked alongside a two-person team on the streets of Copenhagen, striving to create and maintain relationships with unregistered migrants experiencing homelessness while offering counseling services. Responsibilities of the internship included:— Conduct outreach tours in Copenhagen with a Christiania bike while offering coffee, tea, and soup to individuals within our target group. This acts as way to create and develop relations in a disarming and approachable way. —Offer legal, medical, and mental guidance to users we meet on the streets while connecting them to more formal services e.g. shelters who serve this particular target group or organizations that offer warm meals, showers, laundry services, counseling, etc.—Accompany users to various authorities and other services e.g. the police station, the courthouse, the hospital, SIRI, the boger service, embassies, the Red Cross health clinic, etc. In this way, we serve as a liaison between the authorities/other social services and our target group—Create and develop relations with various organizations, services, and shelters in Copenhagen

This was a passion project of mine that bloomed out of the Covid-19 lock down. It combined my commitment to mental health advocacy with my passion for culture, travel, and diversity. Description:The Life With Color Podcast is dedicated to examining the intersection between eating disorders and societies around the world. It serves as a means of education, connection, and a source of hope for those affected by eating disorders. The Life With Color Podcast not only features discussions with professionals on topics related to eating disorders, mental health, and nutrition— but it also highlights stories of recovery from individuals from around the world. Tasks:- Research and schedule out guests to interview for the show- Develop interview questions to aid in the discussion- Conduct and record interviews with professionals in the fields of mental health, fitness, and nutrition— as well as with individuals in recovery from eating disorders from around the world- Edit both the audio files and the visual footage to produce content for the podcast and the Life with Color Podcast YouTube channel- Generate descriptions of each episode to put on Youtube and on all major podcasting platforms- Create promotional posts and copy for Facebook, Instagram, and on my personal blog: Katharinehn.com.

Dubai is home to more than 200 different nationalities, and working as an English tutor offered a unique opportunity to experience great cultural diversity.During my time as a Student Affairs Controller, I was able to:- Conduct approximately 3,500 lessons where I worked with 1-3 students at a time- Teach English to students between the ages of 5-18 in a diverse, international, and cross-cultural setting - Generate electronic updates after each lesson, and create formal progress reports for each student- Develop and facilitate a 2-week intensive leadership course covering: public speaking, interpersonal communication, identity development, and personal branding.- Provide administrative support including: filing documents, answering calls, and keeping physical folders updated

Mental health advocacy is something I am very passionate about and partnering with the National Eating Disorder Association (NEDA) has been an exceptional experience. I served as the head coordinator for two years, and assisted from abroad the second two years. During my time in this role I: - Managed all aspects of the event including: day-of event logistics, community outreach, media outreach, & sponsorships - Mobilized a diverse committee of professionals to assist with community and sponsorship outreach- Raised over $18,000 USD in sponsorships from medical centers, treatment centers, universities, and businesses - Managed all social media platforms including: Facebook, Instagram, and the event website- Spoke across the state of Oregon at mental health events and universities to raise awareness and funds for NEDA- Advocated on behalf of eating disorder awareness and NEDA through providing radio, print, & television interviews - Ran eating disorder awareness campaigns and activities for the US’s National Eating Disorder Awareness Week - Built and maintained relationships with mental health professionals, treatment centers, and advocacy groups

My experience with Rotary stated when I was an exchange student in Aarhus, Denmark from 2012-13. During this time I:- Attended Danish high school (gymnasium) at Aarhus Katdralskole- Lived with three different host families for four months each- Traveled to ten countries during the year- Represented the United States while connecting with exchange students from around the worldDuring my undergrad, I was inducted as a Rotarian in the Rotary Club of Bend. During this time I: - Served as the club’s co-secretary through taking minutes, attendance, and providing general support- Operated on numerous committees including: guest speakers, fundraising, and youth support- Volunteered regularly; examples include running the "Choices" education program, serving food at the Bethlehem Inn homeless shelter, and delivering books to elementary schools.- Was awarded "Rookie of the Year" and the "H.M. Kemple" Award for community service in 2017During my time in the UAE, I volunteered with the Rotaract Club of Dubai, Jumeirah where I volunteered regularly at a center called Senses for individuals with special needs.

During my time as a administrative assistant volunteer I: - Worked closely with individuals experiencing homelessness in Central Oregon through offering resources, referrals, and support - Served as the liaison between residents, staff members to maintain a high level of efficiency- Tended to all front desk responsibilities including answering phone calls and managing donations

The Miss America Organization (MAO) is the largest scholarship provider to women in the the United States. I was active in this organization for three years as a titleholder while completing my Bachelor's Degree in Social Science.
