NIH grant funded research position on Communication Development in Young Children. The studies under this grant seek to document communication in toddlers who are typically developing and children at risk for developmental delays. Joint engagement is the focal observation with other related child, caregiver, and dyadic characteristics being documented as well. Daily tasks include:-Coordinate research activities of lab space and personnel-Recruit and maintain records on study participants-Analyze study data and provide preliminary reports-Provide assistance and support to faculty with scientific research paper writing and submission-Monitor status and updates of IRB protocols for renewals, closures, and submissions-Perform administrative tasks such as ordering supplies and assist with hiring procedure and staff monitoring-Train lab personnel and outside researchers on observation protocols specific to our research-Collect and compile appropriate information for NIH R01 grant submission, rewrite and annual progress reports

-Coordinated daily activities for elementary and middle school classes for students learning below grade level and/or with mental handicap-Implemented multiple reading curricula based on classroom and student needs-Liaisoned between reading program and school personnel-Maintained contacts with parents -Adhered to research guidelines-Monitored student progress and record areas for remediation -Adapted and rewrite reading comprehension curriculum for clarity and precision-Provided feedback on appropriateness of curriculum for students-Contributed input and materials for professional presentation of research-Synthesized published and unpublished research to create unique reading and math curriculums-Consulted on new curriculum appropriateness, adaptations, and implementation

-Created interactive and hard copy of testing manual with procedures and guidelines for all tests-Developed interactive training manual for smooth replication of testing procedures-Coordinated testing schedule at four testing points per student-Supervised support testing staff- Inventoried and maintained supplies and testing materials-Performed and scored multiple psychometric measures to evaluate students
