The curriculum covered the grammar and vocabulary of the Latin language, Latin literature, Roman history and culture, mythology, and classical influence on the United States. I had to plan and present 2-3 lessons per day, evaluate and track student performance, and balance the needs of students, parents, and school administration with district, state, and national Latin standards. Additionally, I oversaw the Latin Club and Latin Honor Society, and assisted other faculty and staff with issues including textbook adoption and distribution, deploying computers for state standardized tests, and chaperoning after school activities.
