My name is Katie and I am a junior studying graphic design and public relations while also minoring in marketing and sustainability at Roger Williams University. I am a part of a few clubs here at Roger, including the Design Club and the Women in Business Club. I am also a part of the cross-country and track and field athletic programs.Over my three years at Roger, I have completed many design and non-design-related projects. In my First-year research experience course, I designed a poster and completed a personal design project related to sustainability that I presented at our annual SASH presentation. Additionally, I have completed an on-campus sustainability project as a part of my sustainability capstone project, where I worked with a team to clean up an on-campus habitat. Aside from my studies, I am on the eboard of the Design Club. In my freshman and sophomore years, I worked as a TikTok creator. I most recently got elected as social media manager for the club, and oversee both the Instagram and TikTok pages. In my athletic career, I have received 3 all-conference medals for my performance at our conference meets.In terms of my current coursework, I am taking courses to further my education in design, public relations, and marketing. I am gaining experience in web design, photography, advertising, sports marketing, and UX design. In addition to gaining knowledge on the ins and outs of better designing and creating a good relationship between brands and the public eye. I hope to use this experience and other past course experiences to build my skills as I search for internships and jobs. I am specifically interested in social media marketing and aspire to get an internship in social media design/marketing. I am very involved in sports and interested in pursing a job in that field.
