• As the president I was able to engage 20 members with the knowledge I have obtained from modules across nutrition and food science, including sensory properties and flavour science. I was able to educate and enjoy the use of my degree with my passion of coffee. • Managed events weekly, including organising general committee meetings and socials for our society members to enjoy.

• Accumulated critical opinions from my cohort to give constructive feedback to the University module conveners in order to improve aspects of the course such as inclusivity and represent my cohort as a student voice.

• Maintained a clean and organised bar area, understanding and maintaining the hygiene systems in place.• Served beer, wine, spirits and non-alcoholic drinks to many guests per night, forming great customer service skills and ability to streamline tasks effectively to improve efficiency in the workplace.• Consistently diffused difficult situations in the workplace, demonstrating resilience.• Liaised effectively with kitchen staff to ensure orders were delivered efficiently.

• Multiple years working in the hospitality industry at various venues working at festivals, weddings, birthday parties and conferences. • Collaborating with many different companies gave me critical experience with many different management techniques and valuing and understanding different personality types. • Working alongside my degree taught me skills such as perseverance and self-discipline in addition to adaptability, flexibility and time management.
