Responsible for providing support to bid and project teams across a range of activities, including; • Project bidding and ongoing project management on behalf of the UK government department of International Development (DFID). Current projects working on include DFID’s work in Kenya, DRC and Burma. • Supporting the Governance Framework (GSDRC) in its daily activities including; liaison with DFID, recruitment of expertise, negotiation, background checks, contract preparation, travel coordination.• Maintaining consultant and travel registers • HSSE compliance: Carrying out security plans and risk assessments for consultants travelling to high risk areas such as post-conflict situations. • Editing documents and reports before submission to DFID

I was responsible for researching and formulating a large research project the CAB is hoping to undertake regarding women in politics. Activities undertaken: •Designed research questions, work schedule and budget •Interviewed High Commissioners and MPs •Held funding meetings with the Commonwealth Secretariat, DFID and AusAID •Researched and wrote reports and background papers on women in politics using information from donors, MPs, academic journals and speaking with academics themselves.
