O’Rourke’s Bar and Grille is a pub in my hometown I started working at the start of my gap year from college. I currently work there as a server four times a week. During my shift, my duties include taking orders, running food and drinks to tables, bussing tables, keeping inventory of restaurant supplies, and handling the payments of the day. These duties have given me the skills of customer service, organization, problem solving, and multitasking.

Presto Strange O is a family owned coffee shop in Warwick, Rhode Island. I have been a regular at Presto since its opening over two years ago and decided this year to apply and work for them. My role at the shop works all around the shop from working up front making coffees and communicating with customers, to working in the back helping clean, unbox ingredients, and helping make the pastries.

Yvonne’s is a restaurant, bar, and speakeasy in Boston, MA. During my time, I work as a hostess there twice a week. My duties include confirming and organizing reservations, getting the clients seated, and overall being a friendly face to the guests.

After the end of my freshman year of college, I gained the position of Program Director of my college radio station after working on air previously. My responsibilities in this position included organizing and scheduling shows, knowing all the equipment and programming for the station, as well as being asource of communication of problems and questions for our radio hosts.

While at Emerson College, I was a 'Radio Show Host’ at my college's radio station, WECB. I hosted two shows during my time there which were both concepts created and hosted by myself. The first one was “Casual Kathy.” During my one hour slot every week, I played songs from a hyper specific genre either known or that I give name to, such as 2014 Tumblr or soft/alternative feminine rock. The second show I had was “Kick It Back” where I played the top, as well as personal favorite, rock songs from the 60s, 70s, and 80s.

The company in which I worked for, Entertainment Works, is a media demographic and marketing company. As for my job as a ‘New Movie Research’, I was sent to the local movie theater in my area of Boston, Massachusetts and held surveys for the audience of new movies. We did this in hopes of gaining a better perspective of who the demographic of each new movie holds for better marketing strategies in the future.

Design and organization of wardrobe for the 4 performances each year. I was elected head of costumes for my senior year. This role involves coordinating costume/quick changes along with making the actors feel confident in their appearance for the stage. Collaboration with directors, stage managers, along with other technical departments.

WLSA is my high school's news network that produces episodes twice weekly. Throughout my time I have edited, produced, filmed, and was on camera. Working on the network involves moving through the entire creative process of making and producing episodes.
