Parent Educator partners with families and community to increase awareness of the importance of early childhood education. Collaborate with families daily, home visit, prepare lesson plans, manage schedule, maintain professional development, connect families to community resources, plan group events, conduct developmental screening and database.

Support the Director of Program Services in providing leadership to help achieve the mission and strategic priorities of the organization.1.Assist the Director in leadership and management for all staff and volunteers in the Program Services department, ensuring excellence in marketing, promotion, delivery and quality of programs, products and services, and adherence to Child Care Aware® of America Quality Assurance criteria. 2.Represent Child Care Aware® of Missouri on committees, boards and at public functions as designated by the Director to meet the goals in Child Care Aware® of Missouri’s strategic plan.3. Assist in providing supervision, information, and technical assistance to staff of the Program Services department that support their successful implementation of all projects and services.4. Advocates with funders, state agencies, legislators and others whose decisions may affect the organization’s services and programs as designated by the Director; including representing the organization on the planning committee for the state’s annual Child Advocacy Day.Assist Director of Program Services in positioning Child Care Aware® of Missouri as a significant partner in child care and early learning issues and initiatives.1.Support delivery of contractual requirements and other service expectations for training and coaching/technical assistance and capacity building relevant to the Central Region, as well as requirements for statewide resource and referral services.2.Maintain a working knowledge of state and local trends/issues that affect CCR&R service delivery statewide and in the Central Region. Ensure this information is disseminated to the Director and department staff, as appropriate.3.Work with the Director to assure that Child Care Aware® of Missouri and its mission, programs, products, and services are consistently presented in a strong, positive image to relevant stakeholders.

Foster Care Development Specialist II, primary duties include but are not limited to: recruitment of foster homes, conducting informational meetings about MACF foster parent program, contract individuals interested in becoming foster parents, completing home assessments, and attending family support team meetings, complete home study and conduct home visits for foster, kinship, adoptive and respite home studies, coordinate the completion of MACF foster parent criminal and child abuse and neglect background checks, maintain all contract files and documentation including all annual foster home visits and updated paperwork for re-licensure, complete data entry data entry of all MACF foster parents information into the FAMCare system, FACES, Microsoft Office, implement and maintain a tracking system to monitor all foster parent credentials, accreditations, and licensures, act as a liaison between Children’s Division, MAPP, and MACF care management department when working with a foster home or foster parent concerns, provide assistance to care managers in foster home /client-related crisis situations, participate in Family Support Teams, Team Decision Making, Meetings, and other care management meetings as needed, report and collect data in order to provide information to MACF and MAPP staff regarding the foster care department attending monthly care management team meetings, all staff meetings and training, serve as on call back up to supervisors, promote community awareness about foster children, seek public donations and coordinate special events for resource families, link and provide families access to trainings, assist in monthly newsletters to send foster families, assess risk and protective factors and family strengths and needs, facilitate permanency and family connections, help parents improve their ability to care for their child.
