Her recent experience as an HR generalist in the manufacturing plant of a Fortune 1000 company allowed her to build her skills in employee relations as well as talent acquisition, onboarding, and benefits program administration. She is a proficient user of HR systems like Kronos and Workday, and she is an agile learner who finds creative ways to leverage technology that improves the overall operation. Katherine founded KJC HR Services with a mission to put more "H" in HR. Her positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to lead with compassion allow her to get the job correctly, on time, and with a smile. Whether working independently or with a team, you can count on Katherine to deliver.KJC accepts remote projects from anywhere in the U.S. and on-site in Minneapolis/St. Paul or the Greater Chicago Area.

Member of the Leadership Development Program. Led employee recruiting including resume mining, pre-screening calls, and personality-based interviews. Standardized over 25 job descriptions for accuracy and improved candidate sourcing. Coordinated new hire onboarding, including pre-employment screening, I-9 verification, and first day orientation. Utilized Microsoft PowerApps to build an app that improved tracking of new hire onboarding across stakeholders. Led healthcare open enrollment and provided over 100 employees support for site-level benefit programs. Oversaw union discipline tracking and elevated violations to senior management. Developed “How To” manual of HR practices and procedures for streamlined onboarding of future plant staff. Experienced user of Workday and Kronos.

Developed and presented new onboarding program for exempt employees. Built "Our Business" intranet web pages to improve employee understanding of Pentair's portfolio. Collaborated with the Inclusion and Diversity team on company-wide unconscious bias training.
