Affiliated Chartered Legal Executive I have enjoyed a successful career specialising in conveyancing and crime , qualifying in 1992. This was a natural progression following on from my pre qualified experience working as a Conveyancer for firms in the Leicester areaAs a result of the property recession I diversified from conveyancing to crime, and passed my Police Station Accreditation. My experience has been been in-house where I built my successful career covering all areas of criminal defence from the police station and case preparation, through to Crown court. Also successfully seeing through Legal Aid Audits for the grant of the Legal Aid Contract This later served me in freelancing my services from 2002 when I became designated to two of the principal criminal defence firms in the city of Leicester, as well as assisting other law firms around the country.Cuts in Legal Aid have brought many challenges and in January 2017 I decided to revert back to Conveyancing to pick up my knowledge of this area. Due to the time elapsed since practising in this area I took the position of a trainee in the field. Unfortunately my experience was not reminiscent of how I knew the job to be in my earlier days and I decided it was no longer for me.My acquired skills and knowledge opened up new opportunities, and I found my niche with the Market Harborough Building Society. This provided me the ability to use my existing skills in a new dimension and despite successfully fulfilling the roll, due to circumstances in late 2022 I regrettably had to stand down from my role. I have turned this situation around and diversified into the field of childcare where I am able to apply my life experience in family life and knowledge of child protection and safeguarding through my legal background.Now, taking a well earned step back after a successful career, having spent time on the team at Archway Health and Wellbeing in a part-time administrative role, forging some excellent and rewarding relationships with the patients and various practitioners I have now turned my hand to a part-time merchandising role with a leading company where I have the opportunity to build like relationships with various business Managers in a people facing role .
