I managed integrated campaigns and marketing activity, from briefing, planning and implementation through to reviews and learning. I was responsible for building propositions and messaging frameworks for a variety of product and service areas and objectives. I ensured a coordinated approach and that we optimise our use of owned, earned and paid channels for communications across online and offline. I worked closely with stakeholders and lead on the marketing relationship with key product and service areas, to help maximise the impact of NCVO products, services and support within the sector and amongst key audiences, ensuring the sustainability of the organisation. I led a team of two people and support them with developing and implementing campaign plans for their product and service areas.

I was responsible for producing, implementing and tracking marketing strategies and project-level plans to maximise impact and income to the organisation. I worked closely with strategic partners and trusted suppliers from corporate sector to develop marketing plans and negotiated to ensure all parties needs were met. I was responsible for project managing the delivery of a programme of events including NCVO’s flagship Annual and Trustee Conferences. I also produced, wrote, edited and delivered emails, newsletters, website, social media, promotional materials and direct mails. I had responsibility for setting, monitoring, reviewing and managing two budgets with a combined total in excess of £600k. I line managed three members of staff, setting and monitoring objectives in line with organisational priorities and supporting personal development.

The main purpose of my role was to raise awareness of NCVO and its products and services and to work with other teams to ensure that marketing, events and communications activities are carried out consistently and effectively. I project managed a series of events and conferences on marketing, fundraising and data protection as well as the NCVO’s flagship Annual Conference. I was responsible for NCO's core member communications including co-ordinating, researching, copy writing, implementation, analysis and tracking across a range of channels. These included email, newsletters, website content, social media, adverts and direct mail, ensuring they were on-brand and effectively targeted. I was also responsible for NCVO’s compliance with the Data Protection Act.

I administered events including arranging promotional material and liaising with speakers, delegates and contractors. My role also involved maintaining and developing relevant website pages. I also set up and managed effective financial systems for the team budget.
