Researched and reported on a murder case as part of university class where students investigated a potentially wrongful conviction and published their findings. Class tracked down an eyewitness who said the man convicted of the murder did not commit the crime. Convicted man was later released from prison.

Researched and wrote for Hearst lifestyle magazine with an audience of more than 16 million. Worked with features and health teams. Interviewed experts, blogged for womansday.com, and managed reader mail.

Reported and wrote items for the world's leading running magazine. Interviewed experts, everyday runners and elite athletes, including former Olympians. Wrote seven sidebars for the July 2014 issue alone, with five of those sidebars accompanying articles in the feature well.

Wrote stories for Northwestern’s founding chapter of SpoonUniversity.com, a network of student-run publications connecting college campus food communities nationwide.
