I have grown up in and around the healthcare industry with a Pharmacist Mother and the family business, Douglas Pharmaceuticals, on my Father’s side. This allowed me to see first-hand how the work you do can positively impact the health and lives of others. Where I have developed a real passion is in preventative health. Why is it that we often wait until we are sick to take care of our health when there are things we can do to help prevent us from getting sick in the first place? I am passionate about building brands in this space. After graduating from Melbourne Business School with a Masters in Innovation and Entrepreneurship I returned to New Zealand and Douglas Pharmaceuticals to launch BraveFace, a range of herbal supplements designed to tackle stress and worry from every angle. The brand aims to change the conversation around stress, worry, fear, and overwhelm by giving people the tools to overcome it. It is the first direct-to-consumer brand out of Douglas Pharmaceuticals and fits into an overall company focus on mental health. In my role of Group General Manager, I also lead the consumer business at Douglas Pharmecauticals. We represent a portfolio of global consumer brands in New Zealand pharmacy and grocery channels while also developing our own brands such as Clinicians, BraveFace and Phloe. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, my ambition is to grow the consumer business by expanding our agency business and developing a portfolio of Douglas-owned brands that align with our company mission of improving lives.
