Spanish bilingual public health professional committed to working with community members, clinical partners, educational partners and other key agencies for complex, high priority, strategic project management aimed at addressing systemic health inequities. Partners include primary care, dental/oral and behavioral health agencies. Responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating and reporting for health promotion and disease prevention programs within a health equity framework, with the goal of utilizing best practices to improve health outcomes across the lifespan. Spanish (native/bilingual proficiency)In current role:-Recruited and collaborated to train 47 volunteer teen leaders from Klamath County high schools to co-present a sexual health education curriculum to Klamath County School District middle school students over 3 years, integrating the youth voice into classrooms.-Demonstrated service excellence and reliability by running a two-day free mobile dental clinic event, recruiting 9 local dental healthcare volunteers to provide 19 emergency treatments to low-income community members at Klamath Works and the Mexican Consulate Visit Health Fair.-Launched and provided leadership for the Healthy Klamath Network's Hispanic Health Committee, achieving average monthly virtual meeting attendance of 31 participants, and facilitated the transition to a 10-member entirely Hispanic leadership team through collaborative decision-making, within a period of 3 years.-Managed El Grito, a cultural and educational event celebrating Latino heritage, drawing 220 attendees, including 35 health care partners, advancing the Hispanic Health Committee's strategic goal of improving wellbeing for Klamath's Latino community through culturally respectful activities.-Planned, acquired sponsorships, and managed logistics for 4 Hispanic Health Committee networking luncheons drawing a total of 158 participants over a period of 2.5 years, increasing possibilities for connection and collaboration.
