Plans, organizes, executes and provides administrative direction and oversight for all San Manuel Utility Authority (SMUA) functions and activities. Leads delivery of electric service to San Manuel Casino, managing staff and provision of services, while also working with the Board on development of utility policies and future program evaluation.

Oversees a portfolio of 44 generation, transmission, and natural gas field assets on behalf of the 12 SCPPA members. Also responsible for strategic initiatives such as Workforce Development and Communications.

Responsible for the management and administration of the operating projects on behalf of SCPPA and the project participants. Generation projects include nuclear, coal, gas, large hydro, small hydro, wind, solar, geothermal, and landfill gas. Other projects include high voltage transmission, natural gas reserves, and prepaid natural gas purchases.

Continued responsibility for the development, project structuring, financial valuation, risk assessment, and origination of renewables projects for cooperative members of the National Renewables Cooperative Organization, (NRCO). This included RFP administration, project evaluation, contract negotiation, and deal closure as well as project management activities through construction. Also active in the development and marketing of a community solar program designed specifically for cooperatives and leveraging investment partnerships to realize available tax incentives.

Responsible for the development, project structuring, financial valuation, risk assessment, deal negotiation and origination of renewables projects for joint participation by the members of the National Renewables Cooperative Organization, (NRCO). This entailed assessing renewables technologies for viability, renewables market conditions, legislative and regulatory developments and mandates, identifying renewables project candidates for NRCO members’ subscription, and relationship development with renewables related companies for the benefit of the NRCO membership.
