Katherine Bennett Ensor, Noah G. Harding Professor of Statistics at Rice University and Director of the Center for Computational Finance and Economic Systems, is a distinguished figure in academia and data science. She previously chaired the Rice Department of Statistics and led the creation of the Kinder Institute’s Urban Data Platform. In 2022, she served as President of the American Statistical Association (ASA) and currently holds the role of Past-President, having also been ASA Vice President from 2016 to 2019. Ensor's influence extends to the National Academies Committee on Applied and Theoretical Statistics, the Board of Scientific Advisors for NIEHS, the ABET-CSAB Board, and the NSF Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics Board of Trustees. She is principal of StatAnalytics IDD, LLC, a statistical consulting and data science firm.
