Designed, built, and deployed internal web application for the annotation and analysis of benthic imagery collected as part of field campaigns using open-source software. Worked with database managers to design data feed into a database with the eye towards creating an image library to use for computer vision in the future. Updated an in-house R package of functions employing EPA algorithms for risk assessment. Maintain a second R package for functions that standardize workflows.Designed and implemented statistical and machine learning models to identify boundary locations in an ocean wave field that provide the most predictive power to an interior location. Evaluated and interpreted the application of novel mass spectrometry methods in the identification of emerging contaminants. Collaborated with laboratory chemists to design mass spectrometry experiments and analyses to meet client needs. Led groundwater and sediment forensics analyses to improve understanding of contaminant fate and transport (chemical fingerprinting, unmixing, clustering, and dimension-reduction). Communicated results via presentations and expert reports.Collaborated with toxicologists, biologists, chemists, hydrologists, and marine scientists to build effective data analysis workflows using R markdown. Trained and mentored junior analysts to use and improve existing data analysis pipelines.

Employed a combination of trace element techniques, metabolomics and lipidomics analyses, and data anaytics to understand how microbes interact with arsenic in their environment. Analyzed environmental data and publicly available genomic data to revealunderappreciated roles of vitamin B12 in natural systems.
