Katherine Henson is a person who is focused on the art of words. She is an accomplished writer and is passionate about crafting stories on a variety of platforms. Her experience has led to her current role as Marketing Manager at Pathfinder where she uses her passion for helping small to medium-sized businesses and individuals better tell their story. She is a graduate of Olivet Nazarene University with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice & Social Work and a Master of Arts in Urban Ministry.She originally started as a communications major but felt a deep pull to social services - only to later come back to her passion for the art of storytelling and writing. She started in social media marketing as a freelancer during her undergraduate years, then as a Content Writer at LinkPoint Media during graduate school. In the process, she fell in love with the field of marketing and has served in the profession for ten years. She has also crafted a passion for both photography and design, which she continues to use in her roles today.Besides working with LinkPoint Media, she served at Ravenspring Creative, and Catalyst Business Services before they merged to form Pathfinder. She has worked with multiple local organizations such as: Lead Like Jesus, Kankakee County Renewed Opportunity, I-KAN Regional Office of Education - Pledge for Life Partnership, and the ONU Walker School of Engineering. In 2016 she wrote and self-published her poetry book called - Wildflowers: The First Collection.She is currently a member of the first ConvergeU leadership development cohort and serves on the Communications Action Team for the United Way of Kankakee & Iroquois Counties.Katherine lives in Clifton with her partner, Dalton, and their two kids and dog. In her free time Katherine enjoys reading, taking fall adventures with her family, practicing with 35mm film, and watching The Office.
