About Katherine Hogan

I am a Clinical Psychologist interested in the provision of formulation-driven, individualised and high-quality psychological services to those experiencing mental illness or distress. I possess experience working within a private practice setting, providing treatment services to adults, adolescents and children referred under a Mental Health Care Plan, and those referred through an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), WorkCover or CTP schemes. Further to this, I possess experience working within a government department, providing psychological intervention to consumers of the Local Health District. I possess experience treating a wide range of psychological disorders and presentations, including Major Depressive Disorder and other Mood Disorders, various Anxiety Disorders, Adjustment difficulties, chronic illness and pain, emotional dysregulation and self-harm behaviour, trauma related presentations and psychotic disorders. I am experienced in utilising a range of therapeutic modalities, and adapting treatment inventions to the specific needs of the client. Whilst I am trained predominately in cognitive behaviour therapy, I am also very skilled in Dialectical Behaviour therapy, Trauma-Focussed therapy and Acceptance and Committment Therapy. Aside from providing psychological assessment, formulation and intervention, I am skilled in conducting psychometric and neuropsychological assessments, compiling and interpreting a profile of scores to answer specific referral questions, and documenting these findings in formal reports. Further to this, I possess experience working within occupational rehabilitation (both same and new employer streams) and a strong knowledge of worker's compensation and barriers affecting return to work.
