With over 22 years of combined experience in education and nonprofit management, I am a passionate and effective leader who believes in the power of learning and transformation. I hold a Master of Education degree from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, where I also Studied Engineering and Mathematics at Spelman College. As the Assistant Director of the Women's Academy at Wellspring Living, I oversee a program that provides education, career readiness, and life skills to survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. I lead a team of staff and volunteers who create a safe and supportive environment for the participants, who range from ages 18+. I also help coordinate community outreach events and partnerships to raise awareness and advocate for the cause. Some of my achievements include securing multiple grants and donations, developing and implementing curriculum and assessment tools, and facilitating the placement of graduates into jobs and internships. I am committed to empowering survivors with the knowledge and tools they need to rebuild their lives and thrive.
