Permanent Employment in Emergency Department 2021 - Current:Dominantly undertook the RN role in Resus requiring high-level critical thinking and skills. Introduction to Clinical Initiatives Nurse role and frequent management of the department's Fast Track model.Transition to Critical Care Program 2020:6 monthly rotations in the hospital's critical care departments; Coronary Care and Emergency Department. ALS accreditation achieved and undertook the care of critical patients requiring the following interventions; non-invasive ventilation, invasive ventilation, arterial line management, NG insertion, paediatric crisis, trauma and DKA management.New Graduate Program 2019:Quarterly rotations completed in the hospital's Emergency Department, Rehabilitation, Medical and Surgical wards.Skills obtained during the new graduate program included but not limited to; female and male catheterisation, intravenous cannulation, NG tube insertion, venepuncture, surgical drain care and removal, complex wound care and increased exposure in responding to patient deterioration.

Casual deployment in the following healthcare areas:- Coronary Care- Emergency Department- Surgical- Stroke unit- Day surgery- General Medical- Sub-acute care- Short Term Residential Accommodation Service (aged cared predominantly)

PASS (Peer Assisted Study Sessions) is a program offered by the university to assist and support students in traditionally difficult courses which is run by students who previously excelled in the course. PASS Leaders serve as the facilitator for sessions to lead and guide students in their study and learning. Leaders act as a mentor and are required to model successful student behaviour (UON PASS Leadership Manual, 2017).
