In this role, Katherine designed the framework and methodologies for the independent review of the bank’s Advanced Measurement Approach (AMA). She performed independent reviews of the bank’s operational risk framework and measurement system and Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP).

In this role, Katherine led operational risk supervisory reviews, including cross-system benchmarking reviews, and was a member of the AMA Review Committee. During her time in the group, she wrote and contributed to operational risk related industry guidelines as well as internal risk-based supervisory methodologies.

In this role, Katherine developed and implemented risk-based supervisory strategies and plans as Relationship Manager for several financial institutions. She gained expert knowledge of OSFI's intervention process, leading the staging life cycle from identification and communication of issues through to staging resolution, at several institutions. Katherine led supervisory onsite reviews of various risks and controls, including credit, market, liquidity and funding, money-laundering and terrorist financing, and operational. She also gained expert knowledge of Corporate Compliance, Enterprise Risk Management, and Internal Audit methodologies and practices.
